From around the World
Are you hungry and looking for a fast, inexpensive and tasty snack? Here are three traditional street foods from around the world.
1. Paletas (Mexico)
What it is: A popsicle, usually made with juice or water and pieces of fresh fruit. Sometimes, red chili pepper is also added to a paleta. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy flavors.
2. Maeng da (Thailand)
What it is: Water beetles (a kind of insect) are fried in oil and then salt is added. The result: a salty snack that tastes like potato chips!
3. Doner Kebap (Turkey)
What it is: Pieces of juicy meat (usually lamb or chicken) served on a thin piece of bread with different sauces. It’s delicious.
