(B)I was in a bookstore the other day. Looking in the science fiction section，I saw the book Men Are from Mars，Women Are from Venus. Just as I opened the book, Doctor McCoy from the Star ship Enterprise appeared at my side.

Men and women speak totally different languages. All you can do is to try to understand it, and live with it.”
“But I don.t get it, “ I said.“I know a number of men who are relational, subjective, and loving, and if I had to pick their planet of origin, I would have to say Venus. And I also know a number of women who are logical, objective, and as competitive as any man. If I had to pick their planet of origin, I would have to say Mars. So what gives?”
“Jim，I. m a doctor, not a sex role philosopher. You know that men and women are totally different. Why are you trying to confuse things?”
“Who is doing the confusing here? Why do we have to put all men on one planet and all women on another planet? It seems to me that all men and women are a combination of both Mars and Venus qualities, in different degrees and combinations, and each man and woman is totally unique. If you tell men that they are from Mars alone，then they will never look at or use their Venus qualities. If you tell women that they are from Venus alone, then they will never look at or use their Mars qualities. Then men will let women do all the Venus work of life, and women will look to men to do all the Mars work of life, and then you have the most unfortunate situation of men and women setting up artificial roles for the sexes. It gets very had.，
“You have a problem with that, you silly-looking Earthling!”McCoy bellowed.
“That view is utterly and totally unreasonable.”
“Besides that?”

“Good. I think.”
“Tell you what, “ I said, trying to get out of a messy confrontation with an interstellar hero. “Why don. t we simply retitle the book.Let，s call it，Men are from Mars, Women are fromVenus, but Some Men are from Venus, and Some Women are from Mars, and All of God. s Children Have Both Mars and Venus Qualities Within Them.”
“I don，t know, ” McCoy sighed. “I am not sure it will sell. People want simple answers.”
“When it comes to God.s children,” I whispered, “there are no simple answers, only great and wonderful mysteries.”
McCoy, looking old and tired, sighed again. “Give them science fiction, Jim, give them science fiction. People like it, and it sells.”
“I know, Doctor, I know.”
“Beam me up, Scotty.”
