President of the United States twice in his life. Just as Meclellane was getting more and more support from the people, Nast drew many wonderful cartoons that were published in newspapers. The cartoons showed the Americans that Meclellane was a man who would give in to the south, and he would serve the southern slave owners like their running dog. It was not long before the Americans realized that only Abraham Lincoln was able to lead them to Victory and build a better America.
